about the artist :

Creating animal portraits that are unique in composition, color, and expression are what I enjoy doing most. A love of animals and 35 years teaching high school art have been an inspiring combination that has enabled me to pursue my love of drawing.

I have taken great pleasure in drawing many types of animals over the years, but I have found that dogs are my favorite subjects. Their personality, appearance, and expressions are fascinating, and I never tire of studying them.

In my drawings, I try to capture the special personality of each animal, add a touch of originality and create a portrait that will make the owner smile!
